Ringkasan program
This program is designed to provide training in the theoretical and practical aspects of echocardiography. On completion students will be able to perform and interpret a comprehensive echocardiogram recognising commonly encountered pathology of the myocardium, valves, pericardium and great vessels. In addition students will develop an enhanced understanding of the echocardiographic evaluation of the critically ill. Topics covered include the assessment of volume status and fluid responsiveness, haemodynamic monitoring and evaluation of patients with hypotension, hypoxaemia, sepsis and trauma.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have completed MBBS degree or equivalent; supervision at the student's place of work by an approved supervisor. The approved supervisor will be either registered cardiac sonographer, cardiologist, Intensivist with credentialing in echocardiography. They should also satisfy the English language requirements: IELTS (overall score of 6.5; writing score of 6); TOEFL - (Computer based score of 237; Essay writing score of 4.5); TOEFL - (Paper based score of 570; TWE (Test of written English) score of 5); TOEFL - (Internet Based (IBT) overall score of 90; writing score of 21).
