This program in special education specialisation is designed to help students develop the skills, knowledge and values needed to specialise in the teaching of children with special-education needs, or to qualify for appointments as leaders. They will tackle the challenges of students with special education needs, early language and learning issues, preventing disruptive behaviour, and teaching students with learning difficulties. The Master of Education (Special Education) is recognised by the NSW Department of Education and Training as a formal qualification in special education. The Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies has been designed to further the careers of teaching professionals, educational administrators, researchers and policy makers within specific areas of education practice.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students hold a Bachelor of Education; a bachelor degree, or an equivalent qualification, with the completion of postgraduate studies, or professional experience equivalent to one year full-time, in a field appropriate to the program of studies; or have satisfactorily completed the Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies at the University of Sydney in the specialisation intended. They must satisfy IELTS score of 6.5 (min 6.0 in each band) or TOEFL minimum result of 577 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in writing or IBT score of 90 (minimum 23 in writing and 22 in reading, listening and speaking).
