This program in TESOL specialisation explores a range of issues relating to language teaching and learning, applied linguistics and sociocultural contexts of education. It also develops themes relating to the practical issued of language teaching and learning in a second foreign language context, and investigates the theoretical basis of these issues in the light of recent research developments. The Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies has been designed to further the careers of teaching professionals, educational administrators, researchers and policy makers within specific areas of education practice.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students hold a Bachelor of Education; a bachelor degree, or an equivalent qualification, with the completion of postgraduate studies, or professional experience equivalent to one year full-time, in a field appropriate to the program of studies; or have satisfactorily completed the Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies at the University of Sydney in the specialisation intended. For admission into the TESOL specialisation, an applicant must also have a second or foreign language teaching qualification or at least one year’s full-time second or foreign language-teaching experience. They must satisfy IELTS score of 6.5 (min 6.0 in each band) or TOEFL minimum result of 577 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in writing or IBT score of 90 (minimum 23 in writing and 22 in reading, listening and speaking).
