Ringkasan program
This program provides a professional qualification for secondary teaching in selected subject areas. The program includes an academic strand comprising units in Education, and a professional strand comprising units in curriculum, methodology and supervised school experience. The school experience component includes at least 60 days of supervised practicum in a school setting, with a designated classroom teacher as mentor. It is suitable for Students with a recognised Bachelor degree or equivalent, who would like to obtain a professional qualification for secondary teaching in Economics or Business Studies, English, Geography, History, Languages, Mathematics and Science. The Bachelor degree must contain a major in one of these subject areas. The career opportunity for this course is Secondary school teachers in these subject areas.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have a recognised Bachelor degree with a major in at least one teaching subject available in Macquarie's pre-service teacher education program (ie Economics or Business Studies, English, Geography, History, Languages, Mathematics or Science). No work experience is required. Students should also fulfill the following English language requirements: IELTS score of 7.0 overall with 6.0 Listening, 7.0 Reading, 7.0 Writing, 6.0 Speaking; TOEFL (Paper based test): score of 600 overall with 53 Listening, 56 Reading, 63 Structure/ Written Expression, 6.0 TWE; TOEFL (Computer based test): 250 overall with 19 Listening, 22 Reading, 27 Structure/Writing and TOEFL (Internet based test): Score of 100 overall with 18 Listening, 22 Reading, 26 Writing and 22 Speaking. Students who do not meet the English entry requirements above are advised to include an English Language Course prior to commencing full time study.
