Ringkasan program
This program is about how to learn, think, feel, remember, make decisions, cope with stress, and relate to other people. By understanding these normal processes, psychologists can identify the causes of human problems such as anxiety, depression, violence, criminal behaviour, and chronic medical illness and they can develop ways to improve the functioning of people who experience such difficulties. The areas covered in this course include core topics required to meet the minimum standards for accreditation by the APAC. The topics include research methods, statistics, learning, developmental psychology, social psychology, abnormal psychology, and psychological assessment. There is a strong emphasis on the role of the scientist practitioner model and the application of psychological principles in applied settings. It provides an opportunity for graduates of other disciplines to undertake study in psychology. It consists of eight units of study required by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) for entry into the Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology or the Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours, which then provides the basic academic requirement for provisional registration as a psychologist in NSW.

Students should have obtained a degree considered by the University to be equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. Students without a degree but with substantial relevant work experience may be admitted to a graduate diploma or masters. In addition, students should have fulfilled English language requirements with IELTS score of 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in any band), TOEFL/TWE score of 550/4.5.
