Ringkasan program
This course is for people who have successfully completed an Advanced Diploma of Telecommunications Networks Course (or equivalent) or those with overseas tertiary qualifications in Engineering. It is for people who want to work at the senior network engineering associate or equivalent para-professional level in the latest telecommunications and computer networking of the ICT industry. They will develop the competencies to be able to plan changes and analyse network problems over a wide range of telecommunications technologies at managerial/supervisory levels. They will also be able to diagnose problems and provide network management support and implement strategies to improve the network performance. They will develop the knowledge and skills to work on telecommunications and computer networks. This course covers a range of technologies such as switching and transmission systems, advanced mobile phone systems, local, metropolitan and wide area networks (LANs, MANs and WANs), network security, project management, and photonics. They will also be able to use current software packages to simulate results and generate solutions to industry relevant problems such as network demands and performance enhancements.

Students must have completed Advanced Diploma of Telecommunications Network Engineering (11234). They must have proficiency in English with academic IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) score of 46 or Certificate III in English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent.
