The Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics is designed to enable language educators and other professionals to gain a firm theoretical grounding in applied linguistics and explore its relevance to their professional practice. The course integrates theory and practice and is an internationally recognised qualification. The Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics aims to provide a rigorous theoretical grounding in applied linguistics relevant to the needs of language educators and other professional groups; develop students' understanding of the linguistic dimensions of cultural diversity, globalisation and social change; and develop skills in the application of linguistic theory to a range of professional practice. Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics: graduates work in educational consultancy, management and leadership, research and teaching roles in the fields of TESOL, adult basic education or linguistics.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies. Applicants must posses an equivalent qualification of undergraduate degree in any field of study. Students must fulfill the following English language proficiency of academic IELTS score of: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based score of: 575 overall with TWE score of 4.5, internet based score of: 90 overall with a writing score of 21; or DEEP Program (Completion of the Insearch Direct Entry English Program at B level); or PTE: 64.
