The Master of Arts (no specified major) contains a core of two subjects and allows students to choose a further six subjects in an area of their choice. Students may, for example, choose to specialise in the area of training and human resource development. Students wishing to study offshore (e.g. Hong Kong) should apply for the offshore equivalent course, the Master of Arts in Training and Human Resource Development (C04049). The Master of Arts (no specified major) aims to provide students with opportunities to relate new knowledge and skills to their own practice. The core subjects and electives are designed to promote the notion of the reflective practitioner, i.e. educate participants to critically examine and learn from their own professional experience and that of others. Master of Arts (no specified major): graduates work in a wide variety of areas, providing leadership in work-based learning in a variety of national and international contexts.

Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies. Applicants must posses an equivalent qualification of undergraduate degree in any field of study. Students must fulfill the following English language proficiency of academic IELTS score of: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based score of: 575 overall with TWE score of 4.5, internet based score of: 90 overall with a writing score of 21; or DEEP Program (Completion of the Insearch Direct Entry English Program at B level); or PTE: 64.
