This program aims to provide students with sound business management knowledge and skills necessary to meet the current challenges facing professionals working in tourism, hospitality, sport and event management and similar organizations. It will assist students to contextualize and relate knowledge to the current challenges facing professionals working in tourism, hospitality, sport and event management and similar organizations. Students will undertake a set of four core courses which will enable graduates from relevant disciplinary backgrounds to further develop core knowledge and skills in the following areas: Marketing, Strategic Management, Managing People, and Managing Financial Resources. Following the core courses, students will undertake four discipline-specific courses in the following areas: International Tourism and Hospitality, Event Management and Sport Management. In a rapidly expanding and dynamic services industry, it is expected that graduates will be highly sought after by employers in following areas: government departments, tourism authorities, sporting clubs and associations, event management organizations, sport tourism, food and beverage management, entertainment services, theme parks and attractions and retail travel.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have completed a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from a recognized university or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing and have achieved the equivalent of a minimum Grade Point Average of 4.0 (using a 7.0 point scale) or should a hold a Graduate Certificate in Business awarded by Griffith University or equivalent with a minimum Grade Point Average of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale). International students whose native is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5 or a TOEFL score of 550.
