Ringkasan program
This program is designed for those who want to study and contribute to the construction industry from a supplier, manufacturer, or specialised consultant perspective, particularly by focusing on innovative components and products. Attention is therefore centred on the analysis of the industry and the ways in which industry actors come together, at both market and project level. The program objectives: investigate and understand the network of technical relations in the industry; analyse output and operations of specialist firms in construction; understand current and possible contributions of innovative and traditional trades to the building sector; evaluate procurement processes and industry output from a range of perspectives. Graduates are expected to work with general construction companies, quantity surveying organisations, project management firms, trade specialists and specialised consultants, institutional bodies and research institutions.

The Selection Committee will evaluate the applicant's ability to pursue the course successfully using the following criteria - completion of the Bachelor of Planning and Design (Property and Construction) at the University of Melbourne between 2005 and 2010; or an undergraduate degree in a cognate area with a weighted average of at least 65 per cent in the final two years, or equivalent. International applicants must fulfill the following English language requirements: IELTS (academic English only) score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL (paper-based test) score of 577 plus TWE 4.5; TOEFL (computer-based test) score of 233 plus 4.5 essay rating; TOEFL (internet-based test) score of 90 plus no band less than 21.
