The graduate programs in labour relations law focus on the identification, use and application of legal principles of Australian labour relations law; emerging and contemporary issues in Australian labour relations law; technical aspects of Australian labour relations law using historical, theoretical and practical perspectives; evaluating and synthesising Australian labour relations law scholarship; and the development of Australian labour relations law in an international (and comparative) context.

Applicants must possess one of the following: a degree in a relevant discipline and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time, documented, relevant professional experience; or a degree in law leading to admission to legal practice (LLB, JD or equivalent), at honours standard or equivalent; or a degree in law leading to admission to legal practice (LLB, JD or equivalent) and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time, documented, relevant professional experience; or a degree in a relevant discipline, successful completion of four subjects in a cognate graduate diploma and the equivalent of at least one year of full-time, documented, relevant work experience. International applicants must fulfill the following English language requirements: IELTS (academic English only) score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL (paper-based test) score of 577 plus TWE 4.5; TOEFL (computer-based test) score of 233 plus 4.5 essay rating; TOEFL (internet-based test) score of 79 (writing 21, speaking 18, reading 13 and listening 13); Pearson Test of English (academic) score of 58-64 inclusive and no communicative skill below 50.
