Ringkasan program
This program explores the science and technology of measurement, mapping and visualisation, such as satellite and photographic image processing, 3D computer visualisations and global positioning systems. This program is designed to provide students with a formal qualification in engineering and/or surveying at the master’s level. Geomatic engineers study the science and technology of measurement, mapping and visualisation. They work on satellite and photographic image processing, three dimensional computer visualisations and global positioning systems. This program emphasises team-based project work, problem-solving and industry interaction, and internship opportunities are available to students with selected firms and government departments. The program is accredited by the Surveyors Registration Board of Victoria, as well as provisionally accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Engineers Australia; full accreditation will be granted when the first cohort of students graduate.

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree either from the University of Melbourne, another Australian institution, or a university in another country. International applicants must fulfill the following English language requirements: IELTS (academic English only) score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL (paper-based test) score of 577 plus TWE 4.5; TOEFL (computer-based test) score of 233 plus 4.5 essay rating; TOEFL (internet-based test) score of 79 (writing 21, speaking 18, reading 13 and listening 13); Pearson Test of English (academic) score of 58-64 inclusive and no communicative skill below 50.
