Ringkasan program
This program provides training for those who wish to become accredited dietitians, public health nutritionists, food industry consultants and nutrition researchers. It covers all aspects of human nutrition including food science, nutritional science, dietary assessment and research methodology, medical nutrition, public health, community nutrition and food service management. The course is designed for science degree graduates who have at least two semesters of study in each of biochemistry and human physiology. Students will develop knowledge of food, nutrients, biochemistry, physiology, statistics, epidemiology, food service management and the pathophysiology of chronic diseases. They will also develop skills in critical thinking, problem solving, hypothesis testing, experimental design, planning and organisation, communication, counselling and computing. New graduates are able to apply for positions in hospitals, community health centres and area health services, private practice, sports nutrition, the food industry, advertising, non-government organisations, public service (allied health professions) and academia (lecturer or research scientist in nutrition).
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have a bachelor’s degree from the University of Sydney, or equivalent qualification, and completion of two semesters of units of study acceptable to the Faculty in each of biochemistry (second or third year equivalent) and human physiology (second or third year equivalent). They must satisfy IELTS minimum result of 7.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.5 in each band.
