Ringkasan program
This course offers advanced studies in nutritional science and food science, pathophysiology of nutrition-related illnesses, health promotion, communication skills, and clinical/public health nutrition skills. Graduates are suitable for careers in hospitals, community health centres, private practice and consultancy, the food industry and research establishments. The course aims to: produce nutritionists and dietitians who are able to integrate and apply their theoretical knowledge skills and attributes to the promotion of health and the prevention and treatment of illness through optimising the nutrition of communities and individuals; provide students with introductory knowledge of the fundamental skills required for research and an opportunity for in-depth study in an area of dietetic interest.

Students normally must hold an approved undergraduate degree or equivalent in some area of the sciences, which includes, at second year level, at least 25 per cent of a full-time load of biochemistry topics and 15 per cent of a full-time load of physiology topics. They must submit a statement with their application. Students with employment experiences of at least two years full-time in the following related areas should include this information in their application form: nursing, medicine, allied health, health care delivery, health and welfare counselling, food service, or teaching. The Faculty Board may however, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature. They should have IELTS (academic) score of 6.5 (6.0 in all sub bands); TOEFL (paper) score of 580 (TWE 4.5); TOEFL (internet) score of 90 (20 in all bands); Cambridge (CAE) Grade of B or higher; Cambridge (CPE) Grade of C or higher.
