Ringkasan program
This program is aimed at students with a bachelor degree in quantitatively oriented disciplines including science, mathematics, statistics and operations research, engineering, information technology, computing, agriculture, commerce, business, and social science. Operations Research and Management Science (OR/MS) are fields of mathematics that aim to improve and support business activities. The discipline uses mathematical models and analytical methods to assist businesses make optimised decisions under resource limitations/constraints, at strategic, tactical and operational levels. Relevant career positions in this field may include: consultant (OR/MS in management consulting firms, decision support software companies); analyst: statistics and modelling; planner and manager; research scientists (in research centres and government organisations) and portfolio analyst.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants should have completed bachelor degree in an appropriate discipline including mathematics, statistics and operations research, engineering, information technology, computing, commerce or business, with at least H3 (65 per cent) in the major or equivalent. As part of their degree studies, applicants must have completed an appropriate sequence of mathematics and statistics or related subjects to at least second year level. International applicants must fulfill any one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (academic English only) score of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0); or TOEFL (paper-based test) score of 577 plus TWE 4.5, TOEFL (computer-based test) score of 233 plus 4.5 essay writing and TOEFL (internet-based test) score of 79 (writing 21, speaking 18, reading and listening 13 each); or Pearson Test of English (academic) score of 58-64 inclusive and no communicative skill below 50.
