Ringkasan program
This program caters for graduates of an appropriate undergraduate medical science or human biology degree with an emphasis on chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, human biology and physiology leading to the provision of a focused training in professional pharmacy. The degree will incorporate lectures, laboratories and clinical tutorial sessions with a strong professional residency component to provide students with the necessary knowledge, exposure, attitudes and clinical decision making skills required to practice as a pharmacist. Total clinical placement experience will be up to 1000 hours during the course; however an individual students clinical placement experience within the sub-disciplines of pharmacy will differ from student to student. A series of problem-based clinical studies will further develop the skills and adaptability of students, allowing them to rise to the challenges encountered in the delivery of pharmacy in a wide variety of settings. The students will be encouraged to develop an understanding of healthcare consumers needs within a framework of the healthcare team and institutions that supply healthcare. Full-time domestic students in this course may be eligible for student income support in the form of youth allowance, austudy or pensioner education supplement.

Students must have a relevant degree in medical science with an emphasis on chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, biology, anatomy and physiology or equivalent and have a history of above average grades. In addition they should have fulfilled English language requirements with minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (academic) or equivalent.
