Ringkasan program
This course enables students with a relevant first degree to obtain a professional qualification in physiotherapy. In the first semester students develop clinical reasoning, assessment and treatment skills in the core areas of cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy across the lifespan. This is followed by 18 months of integrated theory and clinical practice subjects, during which students are primarily located in the clinical environment.

Students should hold a relevant Bachelor degree other than physiotherapy completed within the past 7 years with a minimum Grade Point Average of 5 out of 7. Essential pre-requisites are completed tertiary-level subjects in anatomy and physiology with a minimum score of 70 per cent, or Distinction. Relevant recent work experience and prior learning will be considered, such as: Health professional paid work, Sport or fitness industry paid work. They must also satisfy one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) minimum overall band score of 7.0 with no individual band score less than 7.0 or TOEFL Computer-based Test: a minimum score of 250 with a score of 6 in essay writing or TOEFL Paper-based Test: a minimum score of 600 with a score of 6 or more in the Test of Written English or TOEFL Internet-based Test: a minimum score of 96 with no individual score less than 24 or completion of the English for Further Studies Advanced Stage 5B, EFS PG2A which is available from the La Trobe University Language Centre.
