This program offers students the opportunity to specialise in accounting for professional recognition. Accounting is the language of business, and skills are relevant to many areas of professional interest: marketing, economic forecasting, finance, engineering and many others. Knowledge of accounting and finance can help students understand how to use money (resources) to the best advantage. Gaining and maintaining wealth are important elements in a market economy. This program provides students with the technical, practical, analytical and creative skills to enable them to effectively deal with accounting and finance issues within planning and decision making. This master program provides an avenue for graduates to achieve professional recognition and help fill the shortage of professionally recognised accountants. As many candidates may already be established in a business career, the key vocational outcomes will arise from better current job performance together with new opportunities opening in the accounting and finance areas. This program also provides the opportunity for international and Australian graduates to position themselves for employment in international labour markets.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have an approved undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution equivalent to a three year Australian bachelor degree in a discipline other than accounting. International students should have any one of the following requirements: English for Academic Purposes Advanced level certificate at the undergraduate level (EAP 5: UG-70 per cent ); or, Obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0; or, a TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 575 (with Test of Written English (TWE) score of 5); or, a TOEFL (Computer-based) minimum score of 232 (with Written Writing score of 5); or, a TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 80 with no band less than 20.
