Ringkasan program
The aim of primary care is to provide the patient with a broad spectrum of care, both preventive and curative, over a period of time and to coordinate all of the care the patient receives. Primary care is the care a patient receives upon first contact with the health care system, before referral elsewhere within the system, as well as the care received after exiting hospital. Primary care research is multidisciplinary and aims to improve the evidence base for best practice. This specialisation emphasises new knowledge, skills and evidence for people working in the primary health care area. It provides professional education for graduates who work or intend to work in the expanding field of primary health care and general practice. Primary care refers to the "medical home" for a patient, ideally providing continuity and integration of health care.

The Selection Committee will evaluate the applicant's ability to pursue the course successfully using the following criteria: an undergraduate degree in any discipline, or equivalent; at least 200 points of tertiary study in any discipline and at least five years of documented relevant health‐related work experience. International applicants must fulfill any one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (academic English only) score of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0); or TOEFL (paper-based test) score of 577 plus TWE 4.5, TOEFL (computer-based test) score of 233 plus 4.5 essay writing and TOEFL (internet-based test) score of 79 (writing 21, speaking 18, reading and listening 13 each); or Pearson Test of English (academic) score of 58-64 inclusive and no communicative skill below 50.
