Ringkasan program
The Discipline of Public Health offers a comprehensive program in Public Health for health professionals seeking specialist qualifications with vocational relevance. The aim is to enhance their knowledge and skills in ways that enable them to better plan, develop, manage and evaluate initiatives and programs to promote health and prevent disease. The Masters adds further specialist topics and a practicum. At masters level students may incorporate topics from any of these areas, as well as topics offered in the Health Service Management program at Flinders and by the University of Adelaide or, with approval, other universities. The course aims to provide students with the understanding and skills to take action on the public health principles, values and practices that reduce inequity in health care access and health outcomes, and improves population health status.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must normally hold a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma offered by the Discipline of Public Health, or hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution and have not less than two years' approved work experience in public health or a related area, or hold qualifications deemed equivalent by the Faculty Board and have not less than two years' approved work experience in public health or a related area. They should have IELTS (academic) score of 6.0 (6.0 in speaking and writing); TOEFL (paper) score of 550 (TWE 4.5); TOEFL (internet) score of 80 (20 in writing and speaking); Cambridge (CAE) Grade of B or higher; Cambridge (CPE) Grade of C or higher; Pearson English Test overall score of 59 with no communication score less than 53.
