This course uses core knowledge from the academic disciplines of business, law, psychology, technology, social science and humanities to explore key areas confronting modern managers and organisations. The Marketing major is designed for non-marketers to gain a holistic view of the exciting and dynamic world of marketing. Through the core subject a sound understanding of basic principles and language of marketing theory and practice will be achieved.

Students must have completion of an appropriate undergraduate degree, equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree, from this or another university; or other qualifications recognised by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Law, Business and the Creative Arts as equivalent to the above; or completion of either the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Business Administration from this university. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS score of 6.0 (no component lower than 5.5) or TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (plus minimum Test of Written English score of 4.0) or TOEFL (internet based) score of 79 (minimum writing score of 19) or Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 57.
