Ringkasan program
This program allows students to undertake a research project in a specialist field of study. Students will gain considerable knowledge in an area of anthropology and/or social theory and engage in critical assessment of the major theoretical claims of the disciplines and how they intersect. The course provides a pathway to higher degree research for students who have not completed a four year BA (Honours) with a research component in anthropology or social theory.

The Selection Committee will evaluate the applicant's ability to pursue successfully the course using the following criteria: they must have obtained an undergraduate degree with a major cognate to the specialisation with a grade average of H2B (70 per cent) in the major, or equivalent; or a Graduate Diploma in Arts in an area cognate to the specialisation with a grade average of H2B (70 per cent) over the graduate diploma, or equivalent. International applicants must fulfill any one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (academic English only) score of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0); or TOEFL (paper-based test) score of 577 plus TWE 4.5, TOEFL (computer-based test) score of 233 plus 4.5 essay rating and TOEFL (internet-based test) score of 79 (writing 21, speaking 18, reading and listening 13 each); or Pearson Test of English (academic) score of 58-64 inclusive and no communicative skill below 50.
