Ringkasan program
This course is directed at students who are interested in focusing their further study on food industry problems in product or process development, as well as practical applications of food science in processing and production systems. The objectives of the course are to provide students with a sound foundation in food science, microbiology, quality and technology; introduce students to industrial applications of food science and technology and the commercial outcomes; broaden the understanding of the role of products as food and for use as food ingredients; increase the understanding of the specialised disciplines of food science, emerging technologies and the relevance of this to the future food industry.

Students will hold degrees in biological sciences (preferred majors in chemistry, biochemistry or microbiology), related fields (including agricultural and food sciences), engineering or technology. Applicants holding degrees that do not meet these criteria will be considered on a case-by-case basis. They will be invited to submit a case for consideration for entry, which will normally be based on evidence of alternative qualifications and relevant professional experience. Applicants need to have TOEFL Paper based test score of 577 or more including a score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English, Computer based test score of 233 or more including an Essay Rating score of 4.5, Internet based test score of 90 or more with no band score less than 21. Applicants can also have IELTS score of 6.5 or more.
