Ringkasan program
This programme is one of very few undergraduate programmes that offer a comprehensive grounding in all the elements essential to the development of creative leaders in the theatre and entertainment industry. It is catered for those who do not want to be onstage, backstage, or work in theatre administration. There are five career roles offered as programme specialisms: Director, Playwright, Dramaturge, Theatre Critic, and Drama Facilitator. These all require the same wide understanding of history, culture, performance, dramatic structure, and more. Students can progress as director, playwright, dramaturge, theatre critic, drama facilitator. Related career areas are assistant/associate director, stage director, literary manager, artistic director, producer.
Modul program
The modules covered are: Level 1 covers: Theatre Structures 1; Performance, Theory and Analysis 1; Dramatic Composition 1; Performance Practice. Level 2 covers Theatre Structures 2; Dramatic Composition 2; Performance, Theory and Analysis 2 ; Traditional Theatre Practices; Contemporary Theatre Practices; Career Management. Level 3 covers Theatre Anthropology; Intercultural Practice: Research and Production; Theatre Production and Management; Specialisation Project: Research and Production.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants from India should have completed Higher secondary school certificate, Indian School Certificate (Standard 12). They are also expected to have IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL iBT80. The 'A' level art/art elective programme or International Baccalaureate (IB) Art and Design are not required subjects but they should represent the portfolio standard for eligibility into the BA (Hons). They are also required to attend an interview where they will present a portfolio of their work that demonstrates their creative development and process.
