This double degree programme is only available to a small number of very good students on a competitive basis. It entails five years of full-time study, and the number of law electives that they must read will be the same as for the single degree. Some law DDP students may have to undertake two internships to meet both degrees' requirements. For example, a LLB - BAcc DDP student would have to undertake a law internship as well as an accountancy internship. Student in the above combination must complete the courses as shown below to fulfill the degree requirements for both programmes. They should always bid/enroll for courses belonging to the secondary programme first before enrolling for LLB courses because demand for other school courses are usually very high, e.g. competing with BBM/BAcc/BSc(Econ)/BSc(ISM)/BSocSC students for BBM courses versus competing with their own LLB students for LLB courses.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Freshmen who are offered direct entry into the double degree programme are deemed to be provisionally enrolled. Provisionally enrolled students will be required to fulfill the stipulated double degree requirements by the end of their year 2, failing which they will be taken off the double degree programme. Therefore, direct entry into the double degree programme does not guarantee that enrolment as a double degree student for the duration of the studies at SMU. Freshmen who are not offered direct entry into the double degree programme may still enroll as single degree students and will be eligible to apply for the double degree programme in their second year if they have done well in their first year. International students must fulfill the following English language requirements (minimum scores): TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), 79 - 80 (internet-based) or an IELTS overall band score of 6.5 and with Malaysian University English Test (MUET): overall band of at least 5.
