Ringkasan program
The aim and objective of this programme is to develop a systematic understanding of the molecular aspects of biology to the development of selected common pathologies; stimulate an appreciation of the critical thinking skills and scientific methodology applied in scientific research; engender the range of practical skills necessary for effective and safe laboratory investigations; and provide a supportive and structured environment to develop students' personal and key skills. Medical cell biology is one of the specialisation offered under this major.

The curriculum include Cell Biology, Introduction to Biological Molecules, Biochemistry, Cells and Tissues, Human Genetics, Introduction to Microbiology, Human Physiology 1 and 2, Reproductive Biology and Embryology, Developing Professional Skills 1, Clinical Biochemistry, Analytical Biochemistry, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology of Systems 1 and 2, Immunology, Medical Microbiology, Molecular Genetics, Cellular Pathology, Developing Professional Skills 2, Haematology and Transfusion Science, Biology of Disease, Medical Genetics, Dissertation, Research Development Skills, Research Topics in Medical Cell Biology 1.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants must possess one or more of the following qualifications or recognised international equivalents: Foundation Certificate in Biomedical Sciences (FCBS); GCE 'A' Levels, preferably in science stream subjects (Grades CCD); or mature applicants who possess relevant management or pharmaceutical experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants without the FCBS or GCE 'A' Levels in science subjects (or their equivalent) will need to attend additional science tutorials, at a nominal charge. Also applicants with other equivalent qualification may be considered on a case by case basis, and applicants without GCE ‘A’ Levels in science subjects (or their equivalent) will need to attend additional science tutorials.
