Ringkasan program

This programme is especially for students who already hold qualification in Computer Science and related subjects. It allows students to join the course in the final year as well as in the second and first years. The B.Sc. (Hons) Computing degree course is one of the Division's flagship courses and illustrates well the flexibility and detail offered by its entire study programme. By recognising a student's previous qualifications it is often possible to grant a student exemption from the first two years of the course and to offer a place on the final year thus making it possible to complete study for a degree in a single academic year. This programme is aimed at meeting the needs of learners who intend to enter the job market as Systems Analysts, IT Specialists, Database Administrators, Network Engineers and IT Managers. Upon completion, University of Portsmouth will award the student with the Bachelor of Science in Computing certificate. Graduates can find career opportunities as programming systems analysis and design, end-user and technical support, website designers, computer sales, systems management, multimedia, computer engineering, education and training.

Modul program

The modules are IS352 Advanced Systems Development, PJ330 Project, IT350 Distributed Networks, IT353 Information Management, IT354 Database Design and Management, IT355 Object-Oriented Programming and Design, IT357 E-Commerce, IT359 Human Computer Interaction Design and IS363 Project Management.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have completed International Advanced Diploma in Computing; Advanced Diploma in Mobile Applications Technology; Advanced Diploma in E-commerce; Advanced Diploma in Business Computing; and Advanced Diploma in Networks and Cybersecurity or other diploma/advanced diploma/higher diplomas from IT-related fields subject to acceptance by University of Portsmouth. Holders of Advanced Diploma in Electronic Commerce and Advanced Diploma in Information Technology are required to take bridging modules which consist of C2001, C2002, and C2020. Holders of other tertiary or professional education (not issued by polytechnics/institutions in Singapore) are required to take the Professional Integration Programme (PIP) which consists of C2001, C2002, C2020, and C2005. Typically students start on the final year at 20 plus years old. Students from non-IT background are to complete the following bridging programme: C2001 System Analysis and Design, C2002 Software Engineering, C2020 Computer Architecture and Data Communication, and C2005 Object Oriented Programming in Java. Students for whom English is not their first language must provide evidence of English Proficiency.
