Ringkasan program

This programme is shaped by industry and academic leaders who understand the forces of global change and the essential skills needed to leverage information technology in business settings. It is built upon three foundation pillars, namely: grounding in foundations and applications of information systems technology and information systems management; exposure to complex, real-world business processes through numerous examples used in course discussions and assignments, internships, and interactions with industry professionals and leaders; and cross training in business, management or social science areas through foundation, core courses and electives offered by the other SMU schools. The second majors included in this programme are: accounting, actuarial science, applied statistics, corporate communication, economics, finance, law, management, marketing, operations management, organisational behaviour, political science, psychology, quantitative finance and sociology.

Modul program

The courses include Foundation courses includes: Academic Writing, Calculus and Introductory Economics; University core includes: Analytical Skills and Creative Thinking, Business, Government and Society, Management Communication, Ethics and Social Responsibility, Leadership and Team Building, Technology and World Change; Global and Regional Studies includes: Business Study Mission/Country Studies, International Economics, Political Economy of SEA/East Asia, Economic Development in Asia, Law and International Business, Intellectual Property Rights; Career Skills includes: Conflict Resolution, Negotiation, Work and Family; Information Systems Foundation includes: Seminar on IS Management, IS Software Foundations, Object Oriented Application Development, Data Management and Software Engineering; Information Systems Advanced Topics includes: Process Modelling and Solution Blueprinting, Enterprise Integration, Information Security and Trust, Enterprise Web Solutions and Architectural Analysis; IS Depth electives includes: IS Depth Elective 1 (Any IS Technology Depth Elective), IS Depth Elective 2 (Any IS Technology or IS Management Depth Elective) and IS Depth Elective 3 (Any IS Technology or IS Management Depth Elective).

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have attained 18 years of age. They should have least 12 years of education and have obtained good passes in a national or international examination that is recognised for the purpose of admission. SAT or ACT (including the writing test) or GMAT (if SAT is not available) scores are required. ACT or GMAT scores must reach SMU by 31 May to be considered. Interview or essay writing for all short-listed students who are not residing in Singapore will be interviewed by telephone. Students from India should have obtained Standard 12 education. Chinese students need to have completed their National College Entrance Examination (Gao Kao) qualification. American students must have earned High School Diploma. Malaysian students must have STPM/UEC qualification. Students from Germany are required to have German Arbitur qualification. Students from United Kingdom must have earned A Levels - Cambridge, Edexel, AQA (good passes in at least three advanced - Level subjects). International students must fulfill the following English language requirements (minimum scores): TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), 79 - 80 (internet-based) or an IELTS overall band score of 6.5 and with Malaysian University English Test (MUET): overall band of at least 5.
