Ringkasan program

This program is designed to focus on providing an educational foundation for a range of careers in graphic design; providing opportunities for students to gain an internationally recognized vocationally specific qualification to enter employment in graphic design or progress to higher education vocational qualifications; developing the knowledge, understanding and skills of students in the field of graphic design; providing opportunities for students to focus on the development of higher-level skills in a graphic design context; providing opportunities for students to develop a range of skills and techniques and attributes essential for successful performance in working life. Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to demonstrate the following skills: synthesis of a range of concepts, knowledge and skills relating to graphic design; application of complex theories to practical, realistic work situations in the graphic design sector; independence of approach to study and the generation of graphic design evidence; ability to engage with complex and/or unpredictable situations in the graphic design contexts; ability to take responsibility to manage and direct their own and others’ activities; insight and judgement in relation to the margins and consequences of error; research and investigative skills; responsiveness to change and ability to multi-task; ability to innovate and work in a creative way; demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as effectively as a member of a team.

The modules are Computer Applications in Art and Design; Historical and Contextual Referencing; Ideas Generation; Drawing Techniques and Approaches; Design Principles; Advertising Campaigns; Animation Techniques; Visual Communication; Professional Studies; Critical Studies; Ideas in Context; Corporate Identity; Multimedia Web Authoring; Packaging; Business Practice.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must have completed diploma; China Senior Secondary Year and IELTS 5.5; SMU 3 and IELTS 5.5; GCE ‘A' levels with two passes ; ITE Higher NITEC 2.5; STPM with two passes; Vietnam grade 12 and IELTS 5.5; or any other equivalent qualifications. Those without IELTS 5.5 are required to attend an English course at a fee.
