Ringkasan program

This programme trains students in areas ranging from IT and business fundamentals, through business process modeling and IT project management. Students will have extensive hands-on access to software, from industry giants such as Oracle and SAP, in fields such as human resource management, finance and accounting, sales and marketing. They will learn using a problem-based approach and take on projects that are based on IT issues faced in the real business world. Through their learning and experience in DBIS, graduates will acquire a mix of business and IT skills which they can use in their work. Graduates will be equipped with technical skills, business knowledge and project management capabilities to become a leader in tomorrow’s competitive business environment. Graduates may enter careers as: information systems specialists, it or is sales or pre-sales consultants, business development executives in it consulting and software vendor organisations, application support analysts, customer service executives, software application developers, web developers, it sales and marketing executives. Graduates may choose to pursue further education and to this end, all SIT diploma programmes are designed to meet the requirements for entry with advanced standing in local and overseas universities for relevant degree programs. The Diploma in Business Information Systems program is designed to meet the requirements for advanced standing in local and overseas Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) in courses related to IT, Information Systems and Computer Engineering.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

GEC 'O' level holders students to be eligible for admission for the course, must obtain 26 points or better for the net ELR2B2 aggregate score (i.e. English language, two relevant subjects and best two other subjects, including CCA bonus points). They should also meet the entry requirements of English language with the grade 1-7, mathematics (elementary or additional) with grade 1-6 and one of the subjects with grade 1-6 in science stream, design and technology, food and nutrition, engineering, electronics or computer science stream. Students who are ITE holders should have completed NITEC qualification or Higher NITEC qualification with a GPA greater than or equal to 3.5 or 2.0 respectively. In addition to this all international students should have secured minimum IELTS score of 6.0 for all bands (listening, writing, reading and speaking) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 650 (Paper- based), 173 (Computer-based) or 79 (internet-based).
