This programme aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge of computing, mathematics, programming and develop basic skills in communication, team-working, problem solving and applying technology. The purpose of the course is to provide students with the foundation skills and knowledge necessary for entry to a BTEC HND in Computing programme. Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to acquire, organize and communicate information effectively; utilize technology effectively in acquiring knowledge, and in gathering, organizing and presenting information; formulate solutions to certain quantitative problems by applying appropriate mathematical methods rigorously; understand fundamental programming concepts and develop computer programs using appropriate problem-solving techniques; explore environments, most up-to-date technology in an ever-changing discipline and learn to use unfamiliar systems independently.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must have completed the following qualifications: China Senior Secondary Year 3 and IELTS score of 5.5; SMU 3 and IELTS score of 5.5; GCE ‘A' levels with two passes; ITE Higher NITEC with score 2.5; STPM with two passes; Vietnam Grade 12 and IELTS score 5.5; or any other equivalent qualifications. Those without have IELTS score of 5.5 are required to attend an English course at a fee.
