Ringkasan program
This course aim to produce competent technologists who will be able to work effectively in a wide range of electrical and electronic engineering industries. They will be equipped with Design Thinking skills that will enable them to conceive new products and services that meet people’s needs in a technologically feasible and commercially viable way. It is taught using Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) framework which is used in several top universities in the United States, Europe and Australia. Students will gain thinking, process and life skills and will have ample opportunities to design and build projects, grasping a better understanding of key concepts taught. It provides sufficient breadth of electrical and electronics engineering knowledge and yet allows flexibility in choosing preferred specialisations. There are several second and third year options for them to choose from and to customise their curriculum according to their interests and ability. They can also take up additional advanced modules, giving them that added edge when they enter university. If they are able to cope, they will be invited to join the diploma-plus program so that they can graduate with an additional diploma-plus certificate. Graduates can find employment in a wide range of the industrial sectors covering Aerospace, Biomedical, Communications, Computer, Electrical, Control, and Microelectronics Engineering. Students can work as Electronic Engineer, Communications Engineer, Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Control Engineer, Test Engineer, Design Engineer or Sales and Marketing Engineer. Graduates with good results will be eligible for admission to the second year of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering course at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) or gain about one year’s worth of exemptions at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) will also admit DEEE graduates into their programs. In addition, almost all universities in United Kingdom and Australia accept qualified DEEE graduates directly into the second year of a three-year degree programme, or directly into the third year of a four-year degree programme.
