Ringkasan program
This course trains future experience designers who understand the whole process of creating experiences and can see the world from the people's point-of-view (Designing with People in mind and not for People). Future designers will have the ability to Discover people's life patterns, Develop, Design and Execute on radical concepts. This programme will allow graduates to be competent in creative design skills backed with a strong foundation in craftsmanship, user research methods and technology. Graduates who have done well for the course may be able to apply for advanced standing to do a degree in a university. The prospects open to graduates will be possible roles as experience designer, product designer, industrial designer, interaction designer, user interface designer, interactive media designer, user experience designer, design consultant, exhibition designer, stageset designer, model-maker, cad designer, merchandise display artist, production designer, furniture designer and others.

The course modules are: Year 1 covers SD001Z History and Theory of Ideas 1; SD0001 Visual Arts Studio; SD0002 Foundation Design Studio; SD0003 Basic Drawing Class; SD0004 Graphic Communication; LC8001 Critical Reasoning and Argumentation; LC1006 Oral Communication; SD4101 Experience Design Studio 1; SD4102 Visualisation and Communication 1; SD4103 Materials and Processes 1; SD0005 Experience Design Methods; SD4302 Design Interactions 1; LC8002 Critical Reasoning and Persuasion. Year 2 covers SD405Z Experience Design Studio 2; SD406Z Visualisation and Communication 2; SD407Z Materials and Processes 2; SD408Z Experience Design Methods 2; SD411Z History and Theory of Design; LC8003 Social Innovation Project; SD4303 Design Interactions 2; LC8004 Independent Study Project and Presentation; IS1006 Industrial Training Programme. Year 3 covers SD409Z Experience Design Studio 3; SD410Z Visualisation and Communication 3; SD4304 Design Interactions 3; SD4301 Entrepreneurship in Creative Industries.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants from India should have obtained Secondary School Certificate (Year 10) or Senior School Certificate (Year 12). Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to New Zealand. They should also have sufficient level of Proficiency in the English Language with TOEFL score of 550 [paper-based], 213 [computer-based] or 79 [internet-based], or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall minimum score of 6.0.
