This practice-based programme integrates technical skills, industry knowledge, design processes, and creative visual communication. Upon graduation from this programme, students will possess a good working knowledge of the fashion industry and relevant, technically sound design skills. It covers a holistic underpinning of different areas in Fashion and focuses on the fashion product with components in textile design, marketing, styling and art direction. This unique blend of specialist subjects is aimed at producing talented, motivated and entrepreneurial fashion practitioners that contribute to local and international brands and drive the local fashion industry. Students will have the opportunity to study with a fashion team that is actively engaged in a range of local and international initiatives. This programme offers a rigorous curriculum that blends contemporary artistic practices centred on the Asian fashion industry. Students will have a holistic experiential learning experience that grooms to be industry-ready. Through the programme, they can also establish a good network of alumni contacts and key partnerships with the fashion industry. Graduates can progress as designer, writer, buyer, merchandiser, stylist and fashion photographer. Related Career areas are costume designer, accessory designer, lingerie designer, trend forecaster and personal shopper.

Modul program

The modules covered are: Level 1 covers: Introduction to Studio Practice; Introduction to Contemporary and Contextual Studies; Technical Skills Workshops for Studio Practice; Exploration of Studio Practice; Specialist Studio Practice; Key Skills in Contemporary and Contextual Studies. Level 2 covers: Introduction to Fashion System and Terminology; Fashion Studio 1; Technical Studies 1; Modern Fashion History; Fashion Studio 2; Technical Studies 2. Level 3 covers: Industry Placement and Professional Practice; Self-Directed Study: Creative Studio; Career Management.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants from India should have completed Secondary School Certificate (Standard 10) - Indian Certification of Secondary Education (ICSE) by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination; Central Board of Secondary Education Examinations (CBSE). Applicants from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Singapore. Also applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency in any one of the following English language requirements: IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL score of 525 in PBT, 197 in CBT and 71 in iBT. They are also required to attend an interview where they will present a portfolio of their work that demonstrates their creative potential.
