This program trains professionals for the vibrant and fast-growing banking and financial industry with an integrated and well-balanced approach which marries expertise in both IT and Financial Services. Students will learn to define business requirements in financial services, leverage the innovative use of IT and translate them into implementable solutions. With these capabilities, they will make significant contributions to the competitiveness and efficient operations of the dynamic financial industry. The students will learn a wide spectrum of IT technologies and business domain knowledge relevant to the financial services industry. The can develop the capability to integrate these two areas of expertise and design innovative IT systems and solutions, with the following focus areas: accounting and finance, financial products and services, internet and e-banking technology, business intelligence and enterprise solutions. Through participation in hands-on projects and case studies, students acquire good understanding of how banks and financial institutions operate and how IT is innovatively harnessed to create new services. The flexibility of the course allows students to pursue specialisation in either both banking and financial services or banking and financial applications to increase their attractiveness to prospective employers in the financial services industry. Students will learn a wide spectrum of IT technologies and business domain knowledge relevant to the financial services industry. They will develop the capability to integrate these two areas of expertise and design innovative IT systems and solutions, with the following focus areas: Accounting and Finance; Financial Products and Services; Internet and Banking Technology; Business Analytics and Enterprise Solutions. As a financial centre with over 600 financial institutions, Singapore is well-poised to become an IT innovation hub for financial services. With the Diploma in Financial Informatics, graduates can look forward to ample rewarding careers in the vibrant financial services industry. They will belong to a new breed of cross-disciplinary IT professionals and techno-strategists who are well-equipped to integrate IT expertise with banking and financial knowledge to innovate, design and develop effective IT solutions for financial businesses.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students from Malaysia should should have the following SPM/UEC Examination at not more than two sittings: A+ to C / 1 to 6 in Bahasa Inggeris, A+ to C / 1 to 6 in elementary, additional or advanced in Mathematics, and A+ to C / 1 to 6 in any three other subjects. To be eligible for selection, Students must also have sat for at least one of the following subjects: Chemistry; Physics. Chinese students need to have completed National College Entrance Examination Certificate qualifications with at least five points above Tier 2 score line. Indian, Indonesian and Vietnamese students should have Standard 12 qualifications. Students from Myanmar should have BEHS Certificate. Other international students need to have International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) or national examination at Standard 12.
