Ringkasan program
This program equips students with the knowledge of basic food science and processing technology, essential to understanding the food and beverage industry. It provides a foundation for specialized topics including food safety and quality, regulatory affairs, food chemistry and microbiology, product development and ingredients, food business, food marketing and innovation. The program has a wide variety of laboratory techniques employed in food chemistry, food microbiology and food processing technology. Students will have a sound understanding of the business concepts and issues relating to the business of food and beverage to facilitate entrepreneurship. Equipped with a strong scientific foundation in food science and product development, with skills related to microbiology, chemistry and economics, graduates will have the opportunity to work in the following areas Research and Development (R and D); Production/ Manufacturing; Quality Control/ Quality Assurance; Dietetics and Nutrition; Public Health and Community Nutrition; Sales and Marketing; Accreditation.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students from Malaysia, should have SPM/UEC: candidates must have the following minimum results taken at not more than two sittings of the SPM/UEC Examination: Grade A+ to C / 1 to 6 in Bahasa Inggeris; A+ to C / 1 to 6 in Elementary, Additional or Advanced Mathematics; A+ to C / 1 to 6 in A required Science subject: Biology; Chemistry; Physics. Chinese students need to have completed National College Entrance Examination Certificate qualifications with at least five points above Tier 2 score line. Indian, Indonesian and Vietnamese students should have Standard 12 qualifications. Students from Myanmar should have BEHS Certificate. Other international students need to have International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) or national examination at Standard 12.
