This programme gives students exciting entry into the world of game design, one of the fastest growing digital entertainment industries that is in pressing need of fresh talent. As the industry thrives on being able to create more exciting play experiences, it is designed to nurture a new generation of game designers with both the technical know-how and artistry demanded by industry. This programme covers the knowledge areas and practical skills required to study and make games. Besides tackling character design, scripting, prototyping and modelling, students will be taught a variety of software tools to bring their games to life, whether it’s creating 2D or 3D games or different levels or stages of play within a game. The course takes an inter-disciplinary approach where students are encouraged to concoct compelling new game universes with an appreciation for architecture, science, engineering, sound design and story-telling. They will work in teams and learn exactly the way professionals do through hands-on creative problem solving that is vital to the success of any game project. Graduates can look forward to a wide range of jobs in the games profession such as: game designers, level designers, game producers, character artists or designers, story boardists and environment artists, screenwriters or scriptwriters, games quality assurance testers and studio owners.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

GEC 'O' level holders students to be eligible for admission for the course, must obtain 26 points or better for the net ELR2B2 aggregate score (i.e. English language, two relevant subjects and best two other subjects, including CCA bonus points). They should also meet the entry requirements of English language with the grade 1-7, mathematics (elementary or additional) with grade 1-6 and one of the subjects with grade 1-6 in science stream, design and technology, food and nutrition, engineering, electronics or computer science stream. Students who are ITE holders should have completed NITEC qualification or Higher NITEC qualification with a GPA greater than or equal to 3.5 or 2.0 respectively. In addition to this all international students should have secured minimum IELTS score of 6.0 for all bands (listening, writing, reading and speaking) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 650 (Paper- based), 173 (Computer-based) or 79 (internet-based).
