Ringkasan program

This course offers students a unique curriculum in both Info-communications Engineering and Design Thinking Process. They will build a solid foundation in the following four major growth areas of the infocomm industry: Communication Engineering; Mobile Applications and Wireless Communications; Broadband Technologies, Networking and Security; and Internet Application Development. Internet and Security Option enable students to acquire knowledge and skills to develop web services for new avenues of business, such as Internet appliance and electronic information. They will learn about web server (e.g. Microsoft’s IIS or Apache server) installation, operation, monitoring and management. The modules will discuss server hardware and software, security, backup and other administration issues. Graduates can find employment in: Info-communication sector (including Telecommunication services), such as design specialist or design engineer to work on design of new Info-comm products, systems, or services; network engineer, system engineer, and network integration consultant; IT services, such as service developer/ provider for electronic business systems, web apps and services, network security consultant, risk management consultant and security application specialist; Hardware (Info-communication) retail services, such as technical support executive, network sales engineer. Graduates with good results will be able to obtain admission to degree courses at local universities to further their education.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants from India should have obtained Secondary School Certificate (Year 10) or Senior School Certificate (Year 12). Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to New Zealand. They should also have sufficient level of Proficiency in the English Language with TOEFL score of 550 [paper-based], 213 [computer-based] or 79 [internet-based], or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall minimum score of 6.0.
