This programme will prepare students with a strong foundation in core IT skills. In addition, it will prepare them with skills in the area of wired networks, wireless networks and IT security. Graduates will be technically-relevant and skilled, and will be equipped with strong analytical, creative thinking and lifelong learning skills. It offers three exciting specialisation tracks for students - IT Security, Networking and Security, and Enterprise Infrastructure Management. With the knowledge and abilities gained from the tracks, graduates will be better placed to enter the workforce as information security specialists or network specialists with a good grounding in network security issues. This programme provides students with a good understanding and knowledge of Information Technology. Students will learn how IT software and systems are designed and developed, and how they are deployed through wired and wireless networks in a secure manner. Students will have extensive hands-on sessions in software development and in building secured wired and wireless networks. Students will learn using RP's unique adaptation of the Problem-based Learning (PBL) approach. Through PBL, students will benefit from a holistic education that mirrors the needs of the working world. Graduates from this program can look forward to exciting careers in many parts of the IT industry. The understanding of IT gained through the program will allow them to be employed as software developers, IT specialists, IT systems executives, or as IT consultants.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

GEC 'O' level holders students to be eligible for admission for the course, must obtain 26 points or better for the net ELR2B2 aggregate score (i.e. English language, two relevant subjects and best two other subjects, including CCA bonus points). They should also meet the entry requirements of English language with the grade 1-7, mathematics (elementary or additional) with grade 1-6 and one of the subjects with grade 1-6 in science stream, design and technology, food and nutrition, engineering, electronics or computer science stream. Students who are ITE holders should have completed NITEC qualification or Higher NITEC qualification with a GPA greater than or equal to 3.5 or 2.0 respectively. In addition to this all international students should have secured minimum IELTS score of 6.0 for all bands (listening, writing, reading and speaking) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 650 (Paper- based), 173 (Computer-based) or 79 (internet-based).
