Ringkasan program

This programme will provide students with a thorough education that covers the concepts, processes and technologies of IDM. They will also learn about the aesthetics, design principles, character development, animation principles, colour theory and other topics required for the creation of compelling and attractive digital media content. Students will have ample opportunity to work with various equipment and tools, such as digital SLRs, 2D or 3D modeling and animation software, High Definition (HD) video cameras, game development tools, imaging workflow and many others. On top of that, they will be exposed to content creation and editing applications. Throughout their diploma programme, students will be encouraged to develop their own digital media portfolio. Graduates from this programme can look forward to exciting careers in the interactive and digital media industry. These include being digital media designers, computer animators, game developers, web application developers, audio visual editors and technology specialists within digital media production studios. Graduates’ portfolios, developed through the course of their diploma studies, will serve as evidence to prospective employers of their artistic and technical ability.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

GEC 'O' level holders students to be eligible for admission for the course, must obtain 26 points or better for the net ELR2B2 aggregate score (i.e. English language, two relevant subjects and best two other subjects, including CCA bonus points). They should also meet the entry requirements of English language with the grade 1-7, mathematics (elementary or additional) with grade 1-6 and one of the subjects with grade 1-6 in science stream, design and technology, food and nutrition, engineering, electronics or computer science stream. Students who are ITE holders should have completed NITEC qualification or Higher NITEC qualification with a GPA greater than or equal to 3.5 or 2.0 respectively. In addition to this all international students should have secured minimum IELTS score of 6.0 for all bands (listening, writing, reading and speaking) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 650 (Paper- based), 173 (Computer-based) or 79 (internet-based).
