Ringkasan program
This course aims to equip next generation graduates with the materials science knowledge relevant to this rapidly evolving environment. A distinctive feature of the diploma will be the inclusion of management skills training that will allow graduates to fully participate in and benefit from the exciting industry developments. This new diploma is built on the solid heritage of the Diploma in Chemical Process (Polymer) Technology course, a course that has been widely recognised, locally and overseas, for its academic excellence and industrial relevance. DMLS graduates are uniquely qualified for a wide range of positions within the chemical industry which includes petrochemicals, resin production, plastics fabrication and tooling, formulation and compounding, coatings and adhesives, biomedical and electronics companies. They may work in materials or process development, quality assurance, materials characterisation and analysis, production, teaching, technical sales, purchasing, customer service and other management-related positions, or even strike out on their own paths as entrepreneurs. DMLS graduates are expected to be widely recognised by local and foreign universities. They will be granted subject exemptions or direct entry into the second or third year of degree programmes. They will also be eligible to apply for a second-year part-time Advanced Diploma in Polymer Technology programme which qualifies them for direct entry to an MSc programme in several overseas universities.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants from India should have obtained Secondary School Certificate (Year 10) or Senior School Certificate (Year 12). Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to New Zealand. They should also have sufficient level of Proficiency in the English Language with TOEFL score of 550 [paper-based], 213 [computer-based] or 79 [internet-based], or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall minimum score of 6.0.
