This course is designed to provide a holistic music and audio education that imparts components of creativity and technology with emphasis on the integrated use of music and audio elements. It is unique and the curriculum stresses the developing of students’ creative capabilities. This will enable them to function not only in a variety of existing media environments, but also in new and emerging ones as well. Students learn how to create and produce music and audio through the use of a variety of software and hardware tools. Students equipped with specialised knowledge in the creation and production of music and audio materials to meet the needs of the creative industries. They gets trained in laboratories and studios that are equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software for computer music composition, MIDI sequencing, audio recording, and digital audio editing. Upon graduation, students can look forward to exciting careers as sound/audio engineers, record producers, music composers/songwriters and arrangers. Students finds employment in recording companies, multimedia companies, games development companies, advertising agencies, internet/new media companies, broadcasting companies and in all corporations that require music and audio materials as part of their operations. The DMAT course is highly regarded by reputable foreign universities for admission into their degree programmes. The course have ties with Lancaster University (UK), Keele University (UK) and The University of Queensland (Australia), which grant advanced standing to the graduates and admit them directly into the second year of a third-year degree programme. Keele University will also offer two scholarships each year to outstanding students on the Diploma course applying for admission to the University.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants from India should have obtained Secondary School Certificate (Year 10) or Senior School Certificate (Year 12). Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to New Zealand. They should also have sufficient level of Proficiency in the English Language with TOEFL score of 550 [paper-based], 213 [computer-based] or 79 [internet-based], or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall minimum score of 6.0.
