Ringkasan program

This course covers three main areas, namely concept art, visual effects and motion graphics, and professional practice. Students will equip with the required conceptual, technical and professional skills to excel in this field. They will learn in small groups through a variety of teaching methods such as tutorials, critique sessions, workshops, presentations, research work, case studies and experimental or practical work. A studio-based teaching approach will be used in many modules. Students will also develop soft skills such as teamwork and the required attitude and aptitude of a good visual effects and motion graphics artist. There will be group work that simulates real- life project conditions such as attending to the needs of the target audience, meeting specific objectives, dealing with clients and meeting deadlines. There will be opportunities for them to cultivate their passion for this field through guest lectures, seminars, exhibitions, competitions, industry projects, field trips, immersion programmes and internships. Students may join local or overseas universities for further studies in the area of visual effects, motion graphics, computer animation, or digital film. Many universities grant advanced standing to the graduates and admit them directly into the second year of a three-year degree programme.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants from India should have obtained Secondary School Certificate (Year 10) or Senior School Certificate (Year 12). Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to New Zealand. They should also have sufficient level of Proficiency in the English Language with TOEFL score of 550 [paper-based], 213 [computer-based] or 79 [internet-based], or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall minimum score of 6.0.
