This programme looks at different stages of due diligence, from deal filtering, pre-investment investigation to post-investment monitoring. Trainer will share insights on high-profile cases such as Gome, Taizinai (Tai Zi Diary), Sino-Forest Corporation, Longtop Financial Technologies etc, and practical tips on how to look out for and avoid similar due diligence oversights. Participants will get to work on an integrated simulated case study, complete with company personalities and storylines, documentation, financial statements with embedded problematic issues. They are required to identify and detect these issues and come up with approaches and solutions to come the hurdles and ensure the conduct of a proper due diligence. At the end of the two day workshop, participants will learn to develop the framework, solutions to hurdles, prevention mechanism and best practices to conduct rigorous due diligence in China. This programme is designed for corporate executives who are involved, or have keen interests, in business development, direct investments, private equity investments, portfolio management, mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance transactions in China.
