Ringkasan program

This workshop assumes that the participants do not have any financial back ground but have a basic understanding of financial terms and also understand basic financial items found in P and L statement and annual reports. This programme will enable participants to feel more confident when dealing with financial issues both within and outside of the organization, to ask the right financial questions in making business decisions and to makes better assess the business implications of those answers. It provides managers a clear understanding of accounting and business finance and up-to-date review of business practices. On completion of the programme, participants should be able to: explain basic financial terms and concepts; calculate key financial ratios; appreciate the complexities of finance in business decision making; discuss financial issues more confidently with financial staff and make more informed business choices using financial tools. Certificate of Participation will be awarded upon completion of the course.

The modules are as follows: Understanding financial statements, Interpreting financial statements, Creative accounting, Cash flow and fund flow analysis, Cost volume and profit analysis \ Standard costing (concepts and application), Budgetary controls, Activity based costing, Capital structuring decisions, Cost of capital and dividend policies, Corporate CAPEX decisions, Working capital management, Valuation of firms, Economic value added, Corporate restructuring.
