Ringkasan program

This programme has been developed to meet the professional and academic needs of graduates of the International Diploma in Information Technology and Communications in order that they may function effectively in the development and maintenance of computer systems. It is a general diploma programme for students to progress into the Advanced Diploma in IT/Computing/Networking or other related areas and subsequently into degree programs. The programme coupled with Advanced Diploma progression will provide students with strong academic knowledge in the various areas of information technology, programming and systems development, networking and cybersecurity, or mobile application technology - depending on their choice of specialisation. The course aims to provide the necessary analytical and computing skills for the development and management of Computer Systems in respect of the development of abilities required to work at the leading edge of the appropriate technologies. Additionally, it aims to offer as flexible a framework as possible within which to build on a wide range of previous knowledge and experience towards professional aspirations within the spectrum of the modern Computer Industry. In addition, and more generally, the course aims to: provide a challenging, stimulating and self-rewarding study environment; provide opportunity for students to appreciate the social and economic implications of the use of various information and communication technologies; develop a range of keys skill by means of opportunities provided in the study units; accommodate student needs in relation to maximising their career potential by enabling them to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in their chosen subject area.

Modul program

The modules include Computer and Information Processing, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Mathematics for Computing, Project - Web Design with HTML, JavaScript and Java Applets, Project - ‘C’ Programming, Introduction to Java, Database Design with SQL, Essentials of Networking and Network Security.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have attained minimum 16 years of age with two GCE 'A' levels with English or Foundation Certificate for Higher Education (FCHE). They must have obtained minimum five 'N' Levels or three GCE 'O' Levels or equivalent with pass in English, must complete the Critical Thinking (CT) and Learning Skills (LS) as part of the foundation programme. Students without qualified English must do the English Communication (EC), Critical Thinking (CT) and Learning Skills (LS) modules as part of foundation programme. Waiver of the other components of the Foundation programme is on case-by-case basis. Alternative entry for (mature age): Students should have obtained minimum two years of working experience and over 21 years in age having completion of secondary education with pass in English. They must fulfill the following English language requirements: IELTS - minimum score of 6.0 or TOEFL - Paper-based test of a minimum 550 or Informatics Proficiency in English Program.
