This programme bridges both pure computer science and IT application areas covering subjects that include data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks and security. Students study a core program that provides them with the qualifications needed to significantly enhance their IT career, or gain quality employment within the IT industry at a senior level. In addition, the computing and networking major allows students to choose electives from fields that hold an interest for them. Computing and networking covers core computer science subjects such as data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks and security, project design and languages. It is ideally suited to those who wish to pursue a career in the development and deployment of practical network systems.

Modul program

The courses are as follows ICT Project 1: Analysis and Design; ICT Project 2: Implementation and Commissioning; Advanced E-Security; Advanced Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery; Advanced Data Communication Principles; Advanced Mobile Technology; Advanced Human Computer Interaction; Advanced Algorithm Analysis; Plus four electives.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants should have completed undergraduate degree in information technology or a related discipline or other qualifications deemed equivalent. Students who do not meet the entry requirements for the master information technology program may need to complete four bridging subjects usually taken over four months. They must have obtained IELTS 6.0 (no component lower than 5.5)/ TOFEL 550 (with a minimum written English text score of 4.0) and above; or satisfactory completion of the James Cook University English Language Preparatory Program (ELPP); or successfully completion of two years of full-time study in English medium may satisfy the English language requirement.
