Ringkasan program

This programme is designed for students whose background is not in information technology. It includes four undergraduate bridging subjects in information technology to allow students to build the required skill sets in order to complete the Master of Information Technology. The Business Informatics is the specialist area of IT that relates to the mutualistic relationship between business and information technology; fundamentally harnessing the synergy that exists between business and IT. Business informatics can encompass everything from utilising information technology to make informed decisions in business through large scale data warehousing to applications for mobile devices. The Computing and networking major bridges both pure computer science and IT application areas covering subjects that include data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks and security. Interactive technologies and game design focuses on both the front and back end integration of interactive technology design and Interactive technologies - Web 2.0 applications, digital media, web/mobile technologies and platforms, 2D/3D Graphics, animation, games design, computation arts, interactive visualisation, autonomous simulation and virtual worlds.

The courses are as follows E-Business Technologies; Advanced Animation Technologies; Intelligent Agents and Simulation; ICT Project I; Plus four electives; Advanced Game Design; Advanced Human Computer Interaction; Advanced E Security; ICT Project II.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants should have successful completion of study equivalent to an Australian undergraduate bachelor award; or three year IT or computer science diploma with completion of at least four bridging subject. Students who do not meet the entry requirements for the Master Information Technology program may need to complete four bridging subjects usually taken over four months. They must have obtained IELTS 6.0 (no component lower than 5.5)/ TOFEL 550 (with a minimum written English text score of 4.0) and above; or satisfactory completion of the James Cook University English Language Preparatory Program (ELPP); or successfully completion of two years of full-time study in English medium may satisfy the English language requirement.
