This programme aims to equip students with an appreciation and the ability to apply the concepts, theory and practices of the supply chain management in modern-day business enterprises, and how the various sub-functions and entities come together to achieve corporate objectives. At the end of this programme, students will be able to: acquire a comprehensive knowledge of business skills which can be adapted to meet the specific needs of the company concerned; increase their efficiency and effectiveness in planning, organising, directing and controlling a business process operation; identify and apply supply chain management concepts and practices; understand the role of supply chain management in the Organisation and the Economy; have a working knowledge of the individual tasks within the logistics function; understand the relationships between transportation, warehousing and inventory and their impact on a firm's customer service levels and cost; understand the complexities of global business management. Graduates upon successful completion of this programme can advance on to a business-related PSB Advanced Diploma or gain entry into various prestigious universities (subject to universities entry requirements), such as University of Newcastle, Australia.
