Whether it’s zero fire resistant protective clothing for fire-fighters or an extra-strong, totally waterproof, yet lightweight tarpaulin, the skills needed to manufacture these materials are specialised in this course. It covers fabric structures, composites and finishing; commercial risk management; research methods; advanced materials for advanced applications; using textile manufacturing techniques to develop AFM; performance, evaluation and testing for the AFM sector.
